First Day of School
I would like to welcome you to the site of the Jeannette City School District. As superintendent I am committed to meeting the mission statement for the District, “To provide each student the opportunity for a quality education so as to become a productive and responsible citizen and a life-long learner in an ever changing world.” The District maintains a quality instructional staff dedicated to providing the students with strong educational opportunities including enrichment, remedial and after school programming..
The District currently has a student enrollment of 1024 students housed in two buildings: the McKee building (Grades K-8) and the Jeannette Senior High School (Grades 9-12). Jeannette City School District establishes a strong commitment to Academic Excellence for all students while providing opportunities for participation in many sports and extracurricular programs. The District has attained several honors including: A Blue Ribbon Elementary school, U.S. News and World Report Bronze Medal Award for Academic Achievement, numerous WPIAL and PIAA championship titles, and recognition for our excellent Music, Art and Drama programs. Jeannette proudly proclaims itself to be ... “A SMALL TOWN WITH BIG PRIDE”
We honor this distinction through the delivery of our instructional programs with a continued emphasis of offering the best education for all students.
